Spice and Rice Review Date of Visit: 13 October 2024 Location & Accessibility Campus town, near Bradley University Food Quality & Menu This is a fantastic Indian restaurant worth visiting. Simple menu with many Indian dishes that are worth trying out. Portion Size: The portions were enough to leave me feeling full and satisfied. Pricing: Price feels a tad expensive for the amount of food you get. Service Quality Service was great! You order at your table, pay at the table. Wait Time: Food is cooked fresh and if you ordered a hot meal it will be hot, but not so hot you have to wait for it to cool down. Expect a few minutes depending on how busy it is, but every time I visit, its reasonably quick. Friendly Staff: The staff was welcoming, helpful, and quick to assist. Ambience & Environment Very nice, open atmosphere, and not super crammed or close to other tables. Simple Decor without feeling out dated. Is it clean? Restaurant: Overall very clean Tables: Clean tables, when busy might get slightly behind on clearing tables. Restrooms: Overall clean, doesn't impact my feel about the restaurant, could use some more attention. Recommendation Would I Recommend?: YES, the food has plenty of flavor (I had the goat curry, spicy.) Came with white long grain rice and garlic non. The picture is of the Goat biriani rice. Important Tips Payment: All forms of payment

Been looking for a new place to get butter chicken! Decided to give this place a try. It's amazing. The butter chicken was so flavorful and comforting. I also tried something lentil based in a yellow sauce. It was very mild and subtle but again amazing. I got the cheese Naan, super melty and amazing to dip into the sauces. The rice was cooked to perfection. The service was amazing too. The man who took my order (rohed?) And served me had a very positive attitude, always had a smile, and was attentive. I will definitely be recommending and returning.

Every dish I’ve had the pleasure of eating at Rice & Spice has been phenomenal. The server is very friendly, and over the last year they’ve been open, they’ve continued to expand their menu. I’ve had the following dishes, although I did not document them all: Main Dish: - Chicken Tikka Masala (photographed below) - Lamb Tikka Masala - Vijayawada Chicken Biryani - House Chicken Curry Sides: - Rasmalai - Cheese Kulcha - Garlic Naan - Chicken Tikka Naan - Mango Lassi

Service, food, portion size, flavor, atmosphere all 5 stars. Went in hungry, left fat and happy. Way better than Bayleaf in downtown peoria.

First time trying was Indian cuisine and this was a great place to start. Only reason I give four stars on the service specifically was our first server was a little lackluster our but the one following up was going above and beyond to make sure we were amended to The buttered chicken was pretty good and the rice was also cooked well in my opinion

Wow! I mean, I have eaten here before, but they Have definitely stepped up their game. Flavor, freshness, hospitality, and quality are on point! This is by far the best place to eat indian cuisine in the peoria area! I'm glad they are in the campus town area, too!
